The camera says it doesn't see a cat

The catch screen looks for a cat in frame before it's confident. Cats that are far away, mostly hidden, or facing away can miss. Get a little closer, or catch anyway. You can always keep what it makes.

The coat doesn't look like my cat

The sprite is built from the colors in the photo, so lighting matters more than anything. Even, natural light gets closest. A photo taken under warm indoor light will read warmer than the cat really is.

My stickers aren't in Messages

They live under the + button in a conversation, in the app list, not inside Apple's own "Stickers" item, which is where most people look first. Tap +, scroll to Neko Alley. Every cat you've caught is already in there; there's nothing to add by hand.

My cat isn't in the Dynamic Island

Open a cat and turn on Show on island. It needs an iPhone with a Dynamic Island, and Live Activities enabled for Neko Alley in Settings → Neko Alley.

I got a new phone

Cats sync through your iCloud account, so signing in to the same Apple Account brings them along. If they haven't appeared, check that iCloud Drive is on and give it a minute on Wi-Fi.

I want a cat gone

Open the cat, then Release back to the alley. That deletes the sprite and every photo stored with it, right away and for good.
